Cobh Mum says Pay By Weight will target the most vulnerable

A Cobh mother says the pay by weight charges due to come into effect next month are targetting the most vulnerable in society.
Sheila Devlin Mulligan is a full time carer to her two sons 18 year old Shane and 11 year old Conor who both have Angelman Syndrome and need full time care.
Sheila says she fears the increasing costs she will now face, once the pay by weight regulations come in affect on the 1st of July as her boys go through 50 nappies a week.
Refuse companies around the country will implement the new pay-by-weight rules, with the Government setting out a minimum fee of 11c per kilo for residual waste and 6c a kilo for organic waste.
However, issues have arisen over cost as each refuse provider sets their own fee.
Sheila told the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM that she's already paying over €400 a year for her waste and she fears the rising cost
