Communion and Confirmation celebrations putting parents Leeside under financial pressure

Cork MABS have offered a number of easy tips to avoid falling into debt, and say they are on hand to help anyone who wants to budget for the day
Holy Communion and Confirmation days are being overshadowed by money worries.
That's according the Money Advice and Budgeting service who say some parents are under increasing pressure from family members to overspend on lavish celebrations.
Many communities across the city and county are supporting cash strapped families by providing once loved outfits and accessories free of charge, and holding get togethers in the local hall after the ceremony
Speaking to RedFM News Margaret O'Neil from Cork MABS says it's important parents know that assistance is out there.
