Concern Broadband speed won't meet demand

Concern is being raised that the Government's target broadband speed won't meet demand once its up and running.

It comes as a new survey has found that four of the slowest download speeds in the country are in Cork with Dromahane, Cobh, Mallow and Midleton highlighted in the Switcher.ie report....

It's hoped that by 2020 Ireland will have access to 30 mega bits per second. 

However Managing Director of Switcher.ie Eoin Clarke says by the time that's in place we may require faster speeds:
