Concern Expressed About Norwegian Air's Transatlantic Link From Cork Airport

Concern has been expressed about Norwegian Air's direct transatlantic link out of Cork
Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clune says the grounding of Boeing's 737 Max fleet due to two fatal crashes has cast doubt over the operation of direct flights to the US from Cork this Summer.
It's been revealed that Boeing's attempts to get safety certification for the planes to get back in the sky could take up to 90 days and the grounding of the planes could cost Norwegian Air up to €52 million.
Cork passengers are currently being re-routed to Dublin until the start of July and Deirdre Clune has raised her concerns about the direct airlink with the CEO of Norwegian Air who has assured her that the airline is committed to Cork and the route
However speaking to RedFM News Deirdre Clune says she fears the current arrangements may impact on passenger numbers
