Cork Lions Club say the vandalism is putting lives at risk
Cork Lions Club say the continued vandalism of a defibrillator located in the city centre is putting lives at risk.
The organisation, who has been fundraising to get 12 units installed in the city, has hit out at vandals after the unit on Oliver Plunkett St was damaged for a fourth time in recent days when someone put their fist through the glass.
Gardaí have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage in a bid to find the culprits.
The defibrillator was used to save someone's life just before Christmas however due to the recent damage it had to be moved to the security room inside Penneys.
Speaking to RedFM News Martin Walley of Cork Lions Club says the couple of minutes it will take to get the defibrillator inside Penneys instead of on the street could mean the difference between life and death for someone:
