Concerns expressed over BCG vaccine shortage

The Health Minister has warned that it is not a risk to public health.

The Health Service Executive says they expect difficulties with the supply of the BCG vaccine in Ireland to continue into early next year. 

It comes as concerns have been expressed over the shortage of the vaccine that protects against tuberculosis. 

However the Health Minister says there is no threat to public health from the insufficent supply of the vaccine.
