Concerns expressed over housing crisis in Cork

Calls are being made for Cork City Council and the Government to tackle the issue.
Calls are being made on the Government and the City Council to intervene in the housing crisis Leeside which many fear is spiraling out of control.
It comes after a Cork woman has pleaded with city officials to save her from homelessness after being served with an eviction notice.
Ann has lived in the same city centre apartment for nearly a decade and according to today's Irish Examiner she's refusing to obey the eviction noitice as she says she has no where to go.
She's been on the social waiting list for seven years and says she cannot afford to rent in the private sector even with rent allowance.
Diarmaid Ó Cadhla, of The People’s Convention, is working on Ann’s case and he told RedFM News that the Government needs to intervene.
