Concerns Expressed Over Ulster Bank Closures

Concern has been expressed about the closure of an Ulster Bank branch in Blackpool.

It's part of a range of closures planned by the bank across the country. Branches in Ballincollig, Carrigaline, and Fermoy will also be closed as part of the plans.

Ulster Bank said an average of 30 customers per day used each of the affected branches in the past week.

However there are fears in Blackpool that the departure of the Ulster Bank branch will discourage businesses from locating on the Northside of the city.

Speaking to RedFM News Cllr. Dr John Sheehan says there will now be only two banks in the entire Northside area and it will have a knock on effect of business:
