Concerns expressed over underfunding of infrastructural projects

The comments come from the Construction Industry Federation.
The Construction Industry Federation says the government cannot continue to underspend in its public infrastructure.
According to a recent EU study Ireland is underspending by up to 33% on infrastructural projects.
The group says commencement dates for key developments Leeside such as the Dunkettle Interchange, the Macroom Bypass, and the N28 road to Ringaskiddy are yet to announced.
The failure of the Government to include the proposed motorway between Cork and Limerick in it's €27 billion capital plan last year has also been slammed.
Speaking to RedFM News Conor O'Connell of the Construction Industry Federation says it's essential that the government invests in the industry to maintain talent and to create certainty.
