Concerns raised over access of Cork schools to NEPS
Concerns have been expressed about that some schools in Cork are unable to access the National Educational Psychology Service.
It's emerged that Dromleigh national school and neighbouring schools in mid Cork have been without access to the NEPS service for the entire school year.
Cork TD Aindrias Moynihan has called on the Minister for Education to address the issue and invest in NEPS which he says is chronically under-resourced.
It comes in the wake of comments by a Cork actress who says she's alarmed by the high rate of suicide she has encountered since she returned to Leeside last year.
Speaking to RedFM News Rachel Sarah Murphy of the Irish Film Academy says schools needs to be equipped to deal with suicide:
