Concerns raised over new flood relief scheme in Glanmire

Questions have been raised about the affect a new flood relief scheme in Glanmire will have on businesses in the village's shopping centre. The flood relief scheme includes plans to convert the connecting bridge between the two sides of the shopping centre into a pedestrian bridge only. It means that cars will no longer be able to drive from the Crestfield side of the complex to the Hazelwood side and traders say the Hazelwood side could effectively turn into a car park.
