Concerns raised over use of clothes bins to get rid of unwanted animals

Concern has been expressed that clothes bins in Cork are being used to get rid of unwanted animals.

This week three young kittens were found in a shoe box tied with twine at the clothes bank in Douglas Court shopping centre
They were taken to a local vet and are now in the care of Cork Cat Action Trust...

In recent months RedFM News revealed how St Vincent de Paul found the carcass of a dead dog in one of their bins

The charity says it's costing them up to €2,000 a month to dispose of household waste from their bins as well as the  the loss of contaminated donations.

Speaking to RedFM News Brendan Demspey of St Vincent de Paul says the discovery of the dead dog was one of the worst things he has seen
