Conflicting Reports Over Top College Feeder Schools

Parents wondering which schools will help their children get into college could be confused by conflicting newspaper headlines today.
The Irish Independent says that State schools are continuing to close the gap on the fee-paying sector, when it comes to third-level entry.
But the Irish Times suggests that private schools are increasing their hold on top university places.
Both sets of claims come from new stats on Feeder Schools.
And a breakdown shows that while more State-funded students ARE continuing with their education after secondary, places in high points courses are still dominated by private schools.
