Construction Industry Federation Says Housing In Cork Regeneration Zones Will Be Multi-Storey Apartments

The Construction Industry Federation says developments in designated housing regeneration zones across Cork will come in the form of multi-storey apartments.

10 areas in Cork have been selected for regeneration under the government's new Land Development Agency which the Housing Minister says will be responsible for the construction of 150,000 new homes over the next 20 years.

 

The CIF says the market in Cork is showing signs of stabilising and while the new agency establishes itself the onus will be on state bodies at national and local level to deliver housing to areas worst affected by the housing crisis.

 

Speaking to RedFM News, Conor O'Connell of the CIF says apartment complexes could be the best type of development for the zones earmarked for regeneration in Cork:
