Construction jobs expected over the coming years Leeside
It follows housing plans across the county.
Additional construction jobs are expected to come on stream over the coming years in Cork.
It comes after a developer Leeside yesterday confirmed to RedFM News that his company's planned housing injection would come to fruition immediately.
200 units will be going straight onto the market with the construction of a further 500 to begin in the next six months.
O'Flynn Construction will also be building up to 2,500 homes in zoned land they secured in Dunkettle, Glanmire, Mount Oval, Ballincollig, Crosshaven and Mallow.
Speaking to RedFM News developer Michael O'Flynn says while economically things are improving there are obstacles that need to be overcome if the housing crisis is to be addressed.
