Construction of Cork's Flood defenses could be delayed until 2018.
The Office of Public Works has confirmed that the project may not begin until 2018 due to the complexity of the scheme.
Construction on Cork City's long awaited Cork city's flood defences could be delayed until 2018, as the tendering process is not due to start until the middle of next year.
Designs for the work will go on public display next month, two years later than originally planned.
