Contract Tenders Sought To Clear The Former Youghal To Midleton Railway Line For A Future Greenway

It's estimated the planned greenway will cost up to €15m to complete 


 

It's been confirmed this afternoon that tenders are being sought for the site clearance and fencing contract for the Council's plans to develop a 23km cycle and pedestrian route linking Youghal and Midleton, also passing through the villages of Mogeely and Killeagh.

The route closed in the early 1980's and has remained idle since with many parts overgrown
