Contractor Sought For Cork's 30th Bridge

Cork City Council is seeking a contractor to build a new €3.5 million euro bridge in Cork.

The new pedestrian and cycle bridge is planned to cross the Lee from Merchant's Quay to Patrick's Quay.

The Evening Echo reports that it's hoped the bridge will increase footfall between the city centre, MacCurtain Street, Kent Railway Station and the surrounding areas.

Once complete, it will be the 30th bridge to cross the River Lee within the city.
