Controversial boundary extension for Cork City up for discussion at City Hall this evening

Members of Cork City Council sat down with the author of the MacKinnon report to clarify the extent of the boundary expansion

The report proposes to include areas such as Ballincollig, Carrigtwohill, Cork Airport and Little Island within the city remit.

County Council members have rejected the proposal of a boundary extension citing a loss of revenue as a major concern.

Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Tony Fitzgerald says it was a proactive and productive meeting.
