Cork Airport up security following Brussels attacks

There is no immediate safety concerns at the airport.

Cork Airport has increased its security in the wake of the terror attacks in Brussels. 

The attacks at an airport and another at a metro station in the Belgian capital left 31 people dead, 61 critically injured and 250 wounded.

They say there is no obvious threat to Cork Airport at this time but that the security of their passengers is paramount. 

Speaking to RedFM News, Communications Manager at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane says the measure is in the best interest of passengers.
