Cork Airport Warns Region's Tourism Sector Will Suffer If Passenger Charges At Dublin Airport Are Cut

Managing Director of Cork Airport Niall McCarthy says a proposal by the regulator to cut fees in Dublin would force it to reduce its own fees
Cork Airport is warning the region's tourism sector will suffer if plans to cut passenger charges at Dublin Airport go ahead.
Managing Director of Cork Airport Niall McCarthy says a proposal by the regulator to cut fees in Dublin by 22% would force it to reduce its own fees - impacting the airport's ability to continue to invest in its facilities.
The airport, which is on track to host 2.6 million passengers this year, is calling for the regulator not to undercut market rates, which are typically around €8.50 per passenger.
Speaking to RedFM News, Managing Director of Cork Airport Niall McCarthy says the airport is heavily reliant on charges
