Cork Based Immigrant Support Group Says Giving Asylum Seekers Right To Work Is Important For Integration

A judgement giving asylum seekers the right to work is central to successful integration into Irish society.
That's according to a Cork Based Immigrant Support Group who say the landmark decision will have a profoundly positive impact on those living in the Kinsale Road direct provision centre.
NASC have worked alongside asylum seekers Leeside for almost two decades, saying the prohibition on the right to work has always been a key issue.
The support group added that many of those seeking asylum are highly skilled and their contribution will add to Ireland's economic growth.
