Irish Water Safety is warning bathers in Cork of potentially dangerous jellyfish being swept onto beaches in the south-west this weekend.
The East Coast is already on alert for Lions Mane jellyfish, with a number of popular beaches flying red-flags to prevent swimmers being stung.
Swimmers are warned that the painful stings can cause severe reactions.
However John Leach from Irish Water Safety says there's a new threat in Cork and Munster
