Cork Bus Éireann Drivers Block Bus Departure
Striking Bus Éireann drivers have blocked a "Go Bus" service from departing Merchants Quay this morning. The service to Dublin Airport was due to leave at 10.30am this morning but members of the N.B.R.U surrounded it, and prevented its departure. Passengers had to get off the bus and were accommodated on another service. All city, suburban and provincial services across Cork have been cancelled - as part of a national dispute over cost cutting measures. Audio: These passengers spoke to Cork's RedFM about the strike.
