Cork Business Association Say Communication Is Key Following Introduction Of New Traffic Restrictions In City Centre

Cork Business Association says communication is key following the introduction of new traffic restrictions on Patrick Street
The CBA was speaking in the wake of a second evening of heavy congestion on the outskirts of the city after private cars were banned on the city's main thoroughfare
Some traders on the street have reacted angrily to the ban between 3pm and 6:30pm daily believing it will be detrimental to their business.
In a statement, Cork City Council is urging motorists to plan their journeys and make use of the alternative routes while the CBA says it remains hopeful that these issues will be resolved before the end of the Easter break but in the meantime they will continue to monitor the impact
Speaking to RedFM News, CBA President Philip Gillivan says time will tell whether the restrictions will be a success
