Cork business groups look set to have say in Aer Lingus take over bid

Business groups in Cork and Shannon could have a say in the future of the Aer Lingus Heathrow slots. According to reports today the condition is included in the latest proposals from IAG aimed at getting their takeover bid across the line. The group pledged yesterday not to sell the slots without government approval. IAG is looking to buy the government's stake in Aer Lingus, in a deal worth €1.4 billion. It's being discussed by the Dail's Transport Committee today.
