Cork campaigners to travel to the Dail in protest over cost of Orkambi

Cork campaigners are gearing up to travel to the Dáil tomorrow to protest over the high cost of what's been branded a life saving drug for cystic fibrosis sufferers.
Orkambi was approved for use in Ireland nine months ago and although CF sufferers who've undergone successful trials of the medication say it's significantly improved their quality of life the HSE has deemed it too expensive.
The company who produces the drug has priced it at almost €160,000 per patient per year for the treatment.
Minister for Health Minister Simon Harris has appealed for more time to conclude negotiations on a price deal for the drug.
However campaigners including Cork Mum Kara O'Callaghan say they've been waiting long enough.
Kara's five-year-old son Leon is a cystic fibrosis sufferer and she'd been telling RedFM News why she's taking part in the protest tomorrow:
