Cork Cancer Support group to hand petition to Minister for Health

A Cork Cancer Support group is calling for free smear tests to be offered to younger women.
The Girls Club says the free cervical check should be offered to women once they reach the age of 18 and not 25 as is the case currently.
The Voluntary Organisation which offers free support for Cancer patients and their families says this could save the lives of hundreds of young women across the country.
The Group are calling on people to sign their petition at the centre on St. Paul's Avenue or online, which will be presented to the Minister for Health Simon Harris.
Speaking to RedFM News Manager of The Girls Club Linda Goggins James says currently there is no service for women under the age of 25 to avail of free smear testing:
