Cork Chamber of Commerce Say Significant Improvements Are Needed In Cork's Public Transport

Significant improvements are needed in public transport Leeside now, and cannot form part of any long term plan.
That's according to Cork Chamber of Commerce who say that while the Cork Metropolitan Area Strategy is to be welcomed some of the plans need to happen as soon as possible.
Under the €3.5 billion plan, which will be fully realised by 2040, a light rail will be introduced between Ballincollig and Mahon, bus provision will be extended, train services enhanced as well as an emphasis on walking and cycling.
Speaking to RedFM News Conor Healy of Cork Chamber of Commerce says early wins are key in achieving the long term goals of the project:
