Cork city and towns braced for heavy rain
The second highest level weather warning is in place today as the country braces for more flooding following Storm Desmond.
The orange alert covers Cork, Kerry and Clare where they are expecting up to 50 millimetres of rain.
The town of Bandon is bracing itself for the possibility of further flooding this weekend, however the town remains open.
Other towns also on high alert in Co Cork include Skibbereen, Ballingeary and Inchigeelagh, while Clonakilty is also be watchful of the spring tides due to its coastal location.
Farmers are already working with the Irish Red Cross manning pumps to divert flood waters - Tom Turley is the Chairman of the IFA Flood Project team:
