Cork City Council Agrees To Enter Into Mediation With The County Council On The Border Issue

The date of the meeting between the two councils has yet to be announced.

 

Cork City Council has agreed to enter into mediation with the County Council on the contentious border issue.

However the City Council's Chief Executive Ann Doherty has this afternoon written to the county council agreeing to mediation under the Implementation Oversight group.

The Minister for Local Government, Eoghan Murphy had earlier urged both local authorities to "work with the group with a view to reaching agreed proposals as a matter of urgency".

The date of the meeting between the two councils has yet to be announced.
