Cork City Council Has Extra €55 Million To Spend Next Year
Cork City Council will have an extra €55 million to spend next year.
The council agreed a €222 million budget last night in the first budget following the city boundary extension.
Over €5.8 million will be spent on homelessness, €5.6 million is a road restoration grant, €1.8 million will be spend leasing houses, €2.3 million will go towards an increase in payroll, while €1.1 million will be spent on staff pensions.
The local authority are also on track to have the largest fleet of electric vehicles in the country next year following the signing of a new fleet contract for 75 EVs
Earlier this week members of the County Council approved a reduced budget of €338.4 million
