Cork County Council issue boil water notice for Millstreet following the detection of cryptosporidium in the public water supply

The measure has been taken following advice from the HSE and Irish Water as a precautionary measure to protect approximately 2,500 people who are on this water supply.

Irish water say they are currently working on disinfection units and micro filters and this is expected to be completed in June.

Until then customers in Millstreet, Ballydaly, Laght, Drishane and Keale are being advised to boil all drinking water.
