Cork City Council has removed the last of the tents from the wharf on St Patrick's Quay.

An eviction notice was issued to those living on the quay last month after concerns were expressed by those living and working in the vicinity about an increase in anti-social behaviour.

Security fencing has now been erected along the quay.

The Irish Examiner reports that some of the people living in the tents have accepted places in hostels and B&Bs while others have declined.
