Cork City Council under fire for lack of engagement on boundary extension plans with business owners

The Little Island Business Association say the proposed boundary extension is unworkable.
Over 1,000 businesses are located in the area and concern has been expressed that future plans to further develop the area will be jeopardised.
The ability of the City Council to execute the plans has also been questioned as under the MacKinnon Review the local authority will also have to pay a substantial compensation package to the County Council.
Speaking to RedFM News Chief Executive of Little Island Business Association Michael Mulcahy says Cork City Council haven't fully engaged with any of the businesses on their plans for the future of the area if the recommendations in the MacKinnon report are implemented:
