Cork City Hall Faces Calls To Go Paperless

It's after €19,000 was spent delivering documents to councillors over three years

The council spent €6,288 delivering reports and documents to Councillors via two taxis last year, over €6,500 in 2017 and €6,219 in 2016.

City Hall says the cost of sending the documents through the post would be in the region of €13,000 every year.

The Cork Independent reports that the figures have prompted some councillors to describe the spend as a waste of money, with several calling for City Hall to send the documents electronically
