Cork city has the highest rise in rent over the last year

In the city rents rose by 16% in 12 months and the average rent is now €1003.
The average cost of renting a home in Ireland now stands at over a thousand euro a month, according to Daft.
The highest rate of inflation country-wide was in Cork city, where rents rose by 16% in 12 months and the average rent is now €1003.
In the rest of the county rents were on average 9.7% higher in the first three months of 2016 than a year previously.
The average advertised rent is Cork county now €713, up 22% from their lowest point in 2013.
The property website has released its latest quarterly report - which has found the average rent is now 1,006 euro - it's the first time it's gone over a thouand since May 2008.
