Cork County Council Sign €2.35 Million Contract To Build New Boardwalk At Mallow Bridge

The 200 year old bridge spanning the River Blackwater is a major access route to Mallow Town Centre.
Cork based Cumnor Construction Ltd were selected to build the boardwalk.
The boardwalk will be built on the western wall of the bridge and the footpath will be removed to allow more space for the addition of turning lanes, which are expected to greatly improve traffic flow.
Nigh-time works will be carried out to minimise disruption, while some full time day and night lane closures are also expected.
