Cork County Council Working On New Design For Waterloo Junction
Senior Engineers are working on a left-in, left-out junction on the N20 Cork to Mallow Road.
The move follows strong opposition to the closure of the turn-off from locals in Waterloo and Whitechurch who say the closure would split their community in two.
The proposals involved a number of stages including carrying out a safety audit, public consultation and construction.
County Hall says its team is hoping to have these stages completed by year end.
In a statement issued to RedFM News, County Hall says the junction will remain closed until the project is complete
