Cork Couple have Lotto windfall
A lucky couple from Cork City kicked off their weekend in Style today as they collected a cheque for €500,000 from Lottery headquarters.
The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, bought their winning Lotto Plus 1 quick pick ticket, at the Daybreak store on the Grand Parade on the 13th of July.
They admitted not being regular lotto players and bought the ticket on the spur of the moment.
The couple plan to enjoy their new found fortune with a holiday home abroad.
