Cork Deacon Says He Welcomes Plans To Include Women In The Future Of The Church
One of Cork's newest Deacons says he is in favour of women holding the position in the future.
Edward Mulhare a cabinet maker from Castlemartyr is one of six married men who were ordained by the Bishop of Cloyne William Crean last weekend.
The newly ordained Deacon has welcomed news that the Catholic Church is now considering allowing women to serve as Deacons in the future.
Speaking to RedFM news Edward Mulhare says he feels women would bring a lot to the diaconate:
