Cork developer believes housing crisis will be solved in 2 - 3 years

A Cork developer says he believes difficulties in the housing market and accommodation shortages Leeside are problems that will solved in the next two to three years.

It follows reports from auctioneers of incoming calls from companies such as Apple and Tyco who are contacting them in a bid to secure accommodation for their employees. 

Today's announcement of planning permission for a new €90 million office block on Albert Quay, which when fully occupied will house 3,000 employees, has also raised concerns about accommodation shortages.

However speaking to RedFM News developer behind the project Owen O’Callaghan says he believes the housing sector is turning a corner:
