Cork Event Centre Developers To Brief City Council Today

The developers behind Cork Events Centre are to brief the City Council on the project today
At the meeting they're expected to produce internal designs, final costings and brief councillors on a definitive timeline for the stalled project
The sod was turned over 12 months ago by the Taoiseach for the €50 million events centre, planned for the former Beamish and Crawford brewery site, however since then little work has been done at the site.
It has since emerged that the State may have to pay an additional €10 million to ensure the project goes ahead.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Minister Simon Coveney says a design and costing review was needed but despite that delay the Events Centre will be built:
