Cork Families in need of Social Housing in coming weeks

Up to 15 families in Cork County are facing homelessness over the next few weeks.
The families who are in private rental accommodation through the County Council's Rental Accommodation Scheme were gvien notice by the landlords to vacate their homes.
When they contacted the council they were told to go through the homeless services at Drinin Street, even though they qualify for social housing.
Speaking to RedFM News Cork County Cllr Des O'Grady says the council are responsible for these tenants under the RAS scheme, and should ensure they are rehoused as soon as possible;
