Cork families to meet Defence Minister to discuss issues facing members of Defence Forces

Cork families are to meet with the Defence Minister tomorrow to highlight how low pay and poor working conditions is impacting on Soldiers and Sailors Leeside.
The group representing the Wives and Partners of the Defence Forces will discuss the reality of reliance on Family Income Supplement and money lenders because of low wages with Minister Paul Kehoe.
They are calling for immediate pay restoration to the level before wage cuts in 2009, and say they are the poorest paid public servants in the country.
The WPDF say families are struggling to make ends meet and many are at risk of losing their homes.
Speaking to RedFM News Lorriane O'Hare from Cork whose husband is in the army, says the Minister must help to alleviate the hardship felt by families of members of the Defence Forces:
