Cork Firefighters climb the height of Mount Everest

Cork firefighters are set to take part in a ladder climb challenge, the height of Mount Everest, in a bid to raise funds for a Cork charity.
This weekend members of Cork City and County Fire Brigades, assisted by the Gardaí and HSE Ambulance service, will visit towns throughout the county participating in a ladder climb in each town before finishing in the city.
All funds raised will go to Cork City Hospitals Children's Club.
Fire fighter Steven O'Connell's eight-year-old daughter Izzy was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2014 and has since undergone surgery, chemo and radiotherapy and once a month travels to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London for further treatments.
Izzy travelled with the charity to Disney Land and her Dad Steven says the day greatly helped her and the whole family.
