Cork fish monger exchanges Christmas cards with the Queen every year

The old traditon of sending Christmas cards is still very much alive with over 68% of us planning to send up to 30 this year. And Cork's best known fish monger will be one of those sticking to the custom. Pat O'Connell who charmed Queen Elizabeth on her visit to the Cork in 2011 has kept in contact with her since and has revealed to RedFM News that they exchange Christmas cards every year. But Pat has been telling RedFM News that he believes the Queen may have an ulterior motive. He joked, "I suppose the real reason is she's probably trying to get a side of Salmon for Christmas".
