Cork GAA warned not to take support of local residents plans for concerts at Páirc Uí Chaoimh for granted

The Ballintemple Area Residents Association say they are disappointed that the GAA wants to turn part of the Marina Park into parking for cars and buses
BARA says the plans for the area close to the Atlantic Pond are 'negative' and say there are several brownfield sites along the Marina that could be used for parking.
The group states that Páirc Ui Chaoimh needs to remember that big games and concerts cause significant disruption to residents and say they want their views taken into account to achieve a mutally beneficial outcome for both Marina Park and Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Speaking to RedFM News Colm O'Leary from BARA say they support Páirc Ui Caoimh's plans to expand and thrive however they want full consultation in advance:
"They've a statutory obligation to consult with local residents for the issue of licences for concerts, and it shouldn't take our support as granted. Absolutely not."
