Cork Gardai Quiz Man Over Armed Raid
A man in his 30s remains in Garda custody following an armed robbery in the city yesterday. The alarm was raised just after 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a gunman held up the AIB bank on North Main Street before making off with a small sum of cash. No shots were fired and nobody was injured. During a follow-up operation, a Lithuanian man in his 30s was arrested in the Shandon Street area and he's currently being questioned at Bridewell Garda Station.
