Cork GP Describes A&E Crisis As "Perfect Storm"

That's how the overcrowding crisis in Cork emergency departments has been described by a Cork GP.

Over 70 patients were admitted every day to the A&E in CUH last week which put immense pressure on the hospital with a status black warning implemented. 

Among the calls being made to alleviate the crisis are more step down beds, assisted living facilities, and more rehabilitation units.
