That's how the overcrowding crisis in Cork emergency departments has been described by a Cork GP.
Over 70 patients were admitted every day to the A&E in CUH last week which put immense pressure on the hospital with a status black warning implemented.
Among the calls being made to alleviate the crisis are more step down beds, assisted living facilities, and more rehabilitation units.
Speaking to RedFM News Cork GP John Sheehan says the crisis is the worst it has been in 15 years:
